Displaying Multi-Select Drop-Down List Selected Values in Index View
I am using Chosen "https://harvesthq.github.io/chosen/" to have a multi-select drop down list, and I am storing the the ID's as a string and joined them with ",".
I am facing issue in displaying the text value of the selected drop-down items.
My drop-down list is generated from a table:
public class BranchName
{
public Guid Id { get; set; } = Guid.NewGuid();
public string Text{ get; set; }
}
And I am storing the selected items as a string in the BranchNameIDs columns in this table:
public class Order
{
public Guid Id { get; set; } = Guid.NewGuid();
public string BranchNameIDs { get; set; }
public BranchName BranchName { get; set; }
public string Text { get; set; }
}
My index Controller is:
public ActionResult Index()
{
var model = db.Orders.Include(r => r.BranchType).ToList();
return View(model);
}
I was able to split the BranchNameIDs string in my index view, but its showing the ids that was inserted in the database and I Want it to show value of these ID's from the BranchName table.
how can I join these ID's after spiting them with the BranchName Table in order to show it the in my index View?
