Tmux Dont Scroll Mode on Focusing Click

0

I am using a git bash terminal (installed with git) on Windows and accessing a linux server running tmux. my .tmux.conf is

set -g mode-mouse on

The issue is that tmux enters scroll mode upon the terminals focusing click event. What i mean is that, lets say i have the tmux terminal on the left half of the screen and a notepad on the right side. If i am typing in the notepad window and then click the tmux terminal window, tmux enters scroll mode which means if i start typing (to enter a command) it will not work, and I need to press ESC multiple times. Is it possible to have tmux only enter scroll mode when I scroll up with the track pad/mouse wheel?
