LyX / LaTeX equation numbering within section

I use LyX 2.3.1-1 and MiKTeX 2.9
In LyX: Document -> Settings -> Modules, then select "Number Equations by Section".
But in this case, if a chapter does not have any section, there is a "0" in the equation numbers.
May I ask you guys that how to delete this "0"?
For instance, Chapter 1 Introduction, which does not contain any section. The equations in this chapter are numbered like 1.0.1 and 1.0.5.
How to remove those zeros, so that the equation numbers are 1.1 and 1.5?
Thank you very much !!
usepackage{amsmath}
numberwithin{equation}{section}
chapter{Introduction}
begin{equation}
epsilon_{t}=x_{t}+beta y_{t}label{eq:1.0.1}
end{equation}
equations numbering lyx

Anyone knows how to solve this issue?

Locally, redefinenumberwithin{equation}{chapter}
(make a group, so it has no consequence for the rest of the document).
