How to advance dates by alternate values

I recently asked this question and got a very nice answer.

I now think on the possibility of extending the problem to the cases which the lectures occur twice or thrice a week (or even daily), but except, of course, saturdays and sundays.

Example one: if the lectures were always on tuesdays and on thursdays, how can I compute it using similar code as the one chosen as answer?

Example two: if the lectures were always on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays, how can I compute them using similar code as the one chosen as answer?

Observe that I am not asking two questions after suggesting two examples, since I am asking a general code that solves both (and any other) situations.

I apologize for the lack of code, but after thinking a lot, I couldn't reach to any scratch (although I could easily do it in Python, but I don't know if it would help here).

Summarizing, my question is: How to create a schedule of periodic lectures happening more than once a week using the package advdate?
