Show static html page to WiFi Direct clients from Android app. (Just as WiFi Captive Portal)
We have developed a WiFi Direct app in which we want to show the WiFi Direct Group Clients a static html page whenever they try to browse the internet. We are capturing their HTTP/HTTPS request using socket and returning the static page in response.
The logic works perfectly with the websites which do not use https. For example if I open www.fast.com the static html page is returned to client but if I open www.youtube.com the Google Chrome Browser throws the following error:
ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED
Following is our code:
public void returnLocalHtml(ParseRequest request) {
BufferedReader reader = null;
PrintWriter writer = null;
InputStream inputStream = null;
try {
writer = new PrintWriter(socket.getOutputStream(), true);
if (request.flag && request.requestType.equals("CONNECT")) {
writer.print("HTTP/1.1 403" + "rn");
writer.print("Content type: text/html" + "rn");
writer.print("Content length: " + 0 + "rn");
writer.flush();
}
inputStream = context.getAssets().open("index.html");
reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(inputStream));
String response = "";
byte value = new byte[4096];
do {
int read = inputStream.read(value);
if (read == -1) {
break;
}
response = response + new String(value, 0, read);
} while (inputStream.available() > 0);
writer.flush();
writer.print("HTTP/1.1 200rn");
writer.print("Content type: text/html" + "rn");
writer.print("Content length: " + response.length() + "rn");
writer.print("rn");
writer.print(response + "rn");
writer.flush();
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} finally {
if (writer != null) {
writer.close();
}
if (inputStream != null) {
try {
inputStream.close();
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
if (reader != null) {
try {
reader.close();
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
}
}
}
We feel we have done something wrong creating HTTP response.
Any kind of help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.!
