DEtach a jquery-command from a field or reset a field
I have a field where I add the jquery-plugin "datedropper". Datedropper-Link
I add it with:
$('#fieldid').dateDropper();
The date which should get displayed gets loaded dynamically. With "datedropper" you need to load in the "date" with an attribute of the field. Like:
document.getElementById("fieldid").setAttribute('data-default-date', 'date');
The problem is, that I need to initialize "datedropper" again with $('#fieldid').dateDropper();
to display the dynamically loaded date - and then I have two or more instances of "datedropper" running which overlap each other.
Now, I want to close somehow the first instance before loading the new one. Is this possible?
Something like:
$('#fieldid').dateDropper.stop;
javascript

Can't test, but could you do something like$('fieldid:not(.detached)')
as your selector and then add thedetached
class when you want to detach it?
