How to open native XML database using -i command
I want to execute some xQuery queries agains a native XML database. My database is actually a set of XML files in a folder XML-files. I need to run the queries from the terminal and log the results, but I don't know how to open this database that is not a single file. I've tried:
basex -V -i XML-files Query1.xq > xml-log.log
basex -V -i XML-files Query1.xq/. > xml-log.log
basex -V -i XML-files Query1.xq/* > xml-log.log
The last one actually creates a database named after the first file in the folder, but the query returns nothing. The query works fine in basexgui, when this folder XML-files is open as database. How do I call it using basex?
Is there another way that doesn't include me having to use
doc("file1.xml")/element
for every document?
xml database basex
