Remove numbering in header for certain sections - Fancyhdr

0

I would like to turn off the chapter number and section number for appearing in my headers from a certain point in my document.

I don't want my appendix to have a chapter number and also don't want sections in my appendix to be numbered - but in the header they appear and chapter 0 and section 0.0.

documentclass[12pt,twoside]{report}

usepackage{fancyhdr} % For the header bar on pages
pagestyle{fancy}
fancyhf{}
fancyhead[EL]{nouppercaseleftmark}
fancyhead[OR]{nouppercaserightmark}
fancyhead[ER,OL]{thepage}
usepackage{titlesec}

chapter*{Appendix}
chaptermark{Appendix}
addcontentsline{toc}{chapter}{Appendix}

section*{Simulations of}
sectionmark{Simulations of}
addcontentsline{toc}{section}{Simulations of}
