Edge window.open returns undefined - unable to document.write

0

MS Edge (testing fine in Chrome, Firefox, ie11, Safari) is returning undefined to var win = window.open("", "testWindow");.

Currently testing in latest Edge console returns undefined.
I am then unable to win.document.write("<h1>Hello</h1>");.

Also tried var win = window.open("about:blank", "testWindow");.
Is there Edge specific security issue concerning window.open that I am missing?
