HTML email with CSS in Outlook and Gmail not working.Adds junk character ! for email contents ()
I have an email template xsl file which generates html contents and CSS styles are defined using <style type="text/css"></style>
.
After processing template xsl file html contents are generated with table format and css styles defined at header level to apply against tables.
Now the mail received in outlook and gmail are not properly formatted data(! is added in email contents under opening and closing table or tr tags ).
Example:
<table width="1!00"> or <!/th> or <!tr> or <td style="pad!
ding:5px;">
Encoding defined in template is as follows.
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
