Spring Tool Suite rel. 3.9.6 crashes after installation in Mac OS X 10.9.5 Maverick

I downloaded Spring Tool Suite 3.9.6 in Mac OS Mavericks. After installation, I obtain this error report. I tried with several releases of STS, but the problem was the same. The error report is too long, I'll put the only first rows. Thanks.

Many users want appendices to be grouped in an Appendix part, however some problems arise with ToC, hyperref, PDF viewer bookmarks, and so on.
