Incorrect task state when using rpc:// as results backend In celery v-4.2.1

0

I understand there is an open issue https://github.com/celery/celery/issues/4084.

Issue is regarding incorrect task state in celery when rpc:// is set as results backend. The issue was reported with celery version 4.2.0.

I am facing the same problem but mine celery version is 4.2.1
I am spawning a group task with apply_async() and then trying to access GroupTask.ready() It always returns False although I can see in the log the task has been finished.
This was not the case when I change the backend to amqp:// in this scenario I get the expected result states.

Since amqp is/will be deprecated I cannot continue using amqp.
Does anyone have any insight about the issue for celery version 4.2.1
Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Anand
