How to extend $env:path in visual studios package manager console?
Where does Visual Studio's PowerShell environment aka Package Manager Console
takes its variables from? It can't be $profile
as this points to a non existent script in my case.
I have noticed that $env:path
gets expanded by the console e.g. to packagesEntityFramework.6.1.3tools
, etc.
So the questions are:
How can I extend the $env:path variable inside the package manager console so that I can directly run a script that is part of the solution (without having to change directory into the project).
Also is there some way I can look up e.g.
$(SolutionDir)
?
Edit:
I just found out that Split-Path -Parent $dte.solution.Filename
gives me that base folder of my solution. Still looking for a way to extend the path variable.
