Error: Empty SpatialPolygonsDataFrame object passed and will be skipped

0

My goal is to show multiple groups of lakes according to the year of construction with Shiny and Leaflet. All lakes are in the common polygonData.SpatialPolygonsDataFrame, and the particular group of lakes and year of construction are listed as an attributes.

Displaying of the required lakes is filtred by sliderinput by years. The minimum and maximum slider values are fixed like the first and last year of formation of the all lakes.

When setting up a certain group and certain year a situation may occur that this select does not exist, with warning: Error: Empty SpatialPolygonsDataFrame object passed and will be skipped. And the program turns off.
In this case i need display whole area of my interest without polygons. Well thank you

sliderInput("range", "Year:",
min_date, max_date, value = max_date, animate = FALSE, step = 30),

shp_selected <- reactive({
textRange <- paste0(input$range, "-01-01", sep="")

group_selected()[group_selected()$year <= as.Date(textRange),]

})

output$map <- renderLeaflet({

input$update
isolate(leaflet(options = leafletOptions(minZoom = 11, maxZoom = 18)) %>%
addProviderTiles(input$bmap)) %>%
addPolygons(
data = shp_selected(),
weight = 1
) %>%
mapOptions(zoomToLimits = "always") %>%
setMaxBounds(lng1 = 18.65
, lat1 = 48.29
, lng2 = 19.1
, lat2 = 48.57 )}
})

    Please read (1) how do I ask a good question, (2) how to create a MCVE as well as (3) how to provide a minimal reproducible example in R. Then edit and improve your question accordingly. I.e., abstract from your real problem...
