Save data in cache with name of the request
Working with service worker at the time of making a fetch and update the Dynamic cache if I indicate the name of the request saves it in this way: /sites/MLM/search but does not save the answer because it leaves no data.
This is the API: https://api.mercadolibre.com/sites/MLM/search?nickname=JBL.MX
Here is the fetch:
resFetch = apiFetch( CACHE_DYNAMIC_NAME, e.request);
Function that calls to update dynamic cache:
function apiFetch( cacheName, request ) {
return fetch( request )
.then( res => {
if( res.ok ) {
updateDynamicCache( cacheName, request, res.clone() );
return res.clone();
} else {
return cache.match( request );
}
})
}
This is the function to update the dynamic cache
function updateDynamicCache( dynamicCache, req, response ){
console.log(req)
if( response.ok ){
return caches.open( dynamicCache ).then( cache => {
cache.put( req, response.clone() );
return response.clone();
})
} else {
return response;
}
}
But if instead of passing the request to cache.put I pass an random name it caches a key with that random name and the data without problem:
function updateDynamicCache( dynamicCache, req, response ){
console.log(req)
if( response.ok ){
return caches.open( dynamicCache ).then( cache => {
cache.put( 'random-name', response.clone() );
return response.clone();
})
} else {
return response;
}
}
Does anyone know how to solve it?
