Getting redirected to https for localhost

0

I am using webpack dev server in my development environment for a cookie based authentication application.We have two different html page, one for auth module and other is index file after user is authenticated, both being served from webpack dev server.I connect to my prod server to fetch prod data using target property of webpack for api calls. But after authentication my prod server re-directs to https and my localhost fails to run with error This site can’t provide a secure connection. Is there a way to fix this?

proxy: {
'**': {
target: 'https://prod-server-url.com',
https: true,
secure: false,
bypass(req, res, proxyOptions) {
if (req.headers.accept.indexOf('html') !== -1 && req.url.indexOf('signin') === -1) {
console.log('Skipping proxy for browser request.');
if (req.url.indexOf('dashboard') !== -1) {
console.log('Serving index html.');
return '/index.html';
}
console.log('Serving auth html.');
return '/auth.html';
}
},
},
},
host: '0.0.0.0',

},
