Automate the import of two maven projects into eclipse

I have to help a project switch from one developer, to several developers and those developers can be located all over the world.
Because of this we have to create a template VDI that can be used to create a VDI for an user so he can start working immediately.
We have now a template that is looking good. But at the moment the new developer has to import two different maven projects into the workspace with:
File -> Import -> Maven -> Existing Maven Projects
This is doable, but I am asked to automate this, because it has the possibility to generate a problem. When a developer that works when we sleep needs help with this it is inconvenient.
So is there a way to create a VDI with the projects already installed in the eclipse workspace of the new user?
