AOS animation onclick to trigger off scroll effect

0

So I have this chat icon at the right bottom corner of my website that I want to, when I click on it, it will trigger the fade away effect. When I read through its Github I saw the aos:in aos:out events but I have absolutely no idea how to use them, not sure if they are helpful in my case.

I also tried something like this:

$('#chat-toggle').on('ajaxSetup', function (){
$("#live-chat-wrapper").off("scroll",scrollHandler);
})

but in vain. Please let me know if you require more information for my problem.
