MobX toJS showing metadata

I have an observable and I'm trying to console log the output of toJS(someMobxObservableObject).

My issue is that the output not only shows the object's data but also a lot of symbols that appear to be MobX internals such as Symbol(mobx did run lazy initializers): true and Symbol(mobx administration).

Is this the expected behavior? I was expecting toJS() to strip all the MobX internals.

Some details that may help:

  • Observing using mobx-react.

  • The app is a React Native app (don't think this really matters though).

  • Not using decorator syntax.

  • Not using field declaration syntax.

Thanks!
