802.11ac Monitor mode
My USB wireless adapter doesn't support the rtl8821au driver that's pre-installed in kali-Linux. But I finally got it working with rtl8821cu driver just fine.
Link for the Drivers that I used: https://github.com/whitebatman2/rtl8821CU
Unfortiontly, it doesn't seem to support Monitor mode.
not sure if it's the Driver or the card itself
This is the output of the airmon-ng command:
airmon-ng start wlan1
PHY Interface Driver Chipset
phy0 wlan0 iwlwifi Intel Corporation Wireless 3160 (rev 83)
phy1 wlan1 rtl8821cu Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
ERROR adding monitor mode interface: command failed: Operation not supported (-95)
if I try putting it into Monitor Mode with this:
ifconfig wlan1 down
iwconfig wlan1 monitor mode
It hangs forever and the whole computer freezes until I reboot it my self by pressing the power button.
