Selenium - Cannot bring parent window back into focus in Firefox

0

After I perform some steps on the child window and click a save and close button, the child window closes but the parent window never comes back into focus. It stays blurred out. My code works in Chrome but not in firefox. I tried adding a wait as well before switching to the parent window to make sure the child window had enough time to close. That did not help. Also added ((JavascriptExecutor) driver).executeScript("window.focus();"); after switching to the parent window and that did not work either. Any ideas?

    Iterator<String> iter = handler.iterator();
String parentWindow = iter.next();
String childWindow = iter.next();
driver.switchTo().window(childWindow);
(perform steps on child window)
driver.switchTo().window(parentWindow);

          It sounds like a browser issue.

          Per your statement, the child window is blurred out after you click 'Save' and 'Close' in Firefox and not in Chrome. In that case, after clicking 'Close', try to force close the child window.

          Sample code:

          //Get the name of parent window using driver.getWindowHandle();

          for (String windowHandle : driver.getWindowHandles()) {
          //If - current window name is not equal to parent window name
          //Close the window using driver.close();
          driver.switchTo().window(windowHandle);
          }
