Python Sequence Multiprocessing
Building a Python Project that needs to do the following:
One python project is listening to stdin from multiple locations and writes the data to a database. Based on specific data that comes in I need to start up a thread or queue or sub process that monitors for specific data in a specific order and timeframe and make updates to data in the database. So for example:
location 1 needs data in the following order: task1 - task9
location 1 needs task1-3 to complete in specific timeframe and task6-9 in another specific timeframe
location 2 needs data in the following order: task1 - task11
location 2 needs task1-5 to complete in specific timeframe and task9-11 in another specific timeframe.
All the timeframe settings come from the database.
Data coming in could come in from both locations at the same time.
What's the best solution: Threading, multiprocessing, subprocess, queues. The application would need to talk to each unique process as the data comes in. Any help is appreciated.
