How to set umask in Docker Alpine

0

How can I set umask value using Dockerfile entrypoint ? I tried some different ways like writing it inside entrypoint script gosu root sh -c umask 0026 . Inside Dockerfile ENTRYPOINT ["/bin/sh", "-i" "-c""/entrypoint.sh"] . After searching in google I find out that I need an interactive shell. But why in my case doesn't work as I am using gosu or passing parameter -i. Yes sourcing via /etc/profile.d/set_umask.sh works but I always needs to send an extra parameter -l to docker exec or if set though ENV ENV=/etc/profile the docker container starts with hash value prompt like a9b3d38e07c4:/var/www/ which I want to avoid. My second question is what is that 12 digit hash value displayed in the prompt after sourcing a profile and how can we turn off it?

#!/bin/sh

set -ex

umask 0026
gosu root sh -c "envsubst
'$DOMAIN_NAME $PROJECT_NAME'
< /vhost-templates/drupal-${DRUPAL_VERSION}.conf
> /etc/nginx/conf.d/${DOMAIN_NAME}.conf"
2>/dev/null || :

gosu root chmod o-rwx /usr/bin/gosu 2>/dev/null || :
exec "$@"
