Building guide for OpenSSL for QT android

0

I am having a hard time finding a concrete guide that makes me package openSSL for an android app. I have searched around and found that it is easier to do in linux. So i set up my VM and installed ubuntu 18. Downloaded qt set up qt android , and was able to generate a test apk.

from here on how do i it building an apk that has openSSL bundled with it.

Steps found on other site that have tried, would always result me into an error at some point in the process.

I have:

qt 5.11 (installed using the .run)
openSSL 1.1.1 (built in ubuntu, but havev downloaded 1.0.2q but not yet installed)
android NDK 16

your help would be appreciated.

  • There's ssl libraries built into Android. Any reason not to use those?

Android v7 and above prevents access to these libraries, so I am being forced to include openSSL with the app
