Compare filesizes from two json files to output new json file python
Scenario 1 :
I have two json files. The first one is named '2018-11-27' and the second is named '2018-11-28'. Each json file has the following structure:
{"Filename":"apple.json" , "Size":345}
{"Filename":"orange.json" , "Size":445}
{"Filename":"pear.json" , "Size":545}
Size is measured in bytes.
Essentially , i want to be able have both json files open so i can read the Size from json file 1 and compare the Size of it to json file 2. I want to make sure that it reads the Filename first from both files and gets the correct Size.
If there is >=40% difference in the file size , i want to output this to a new json file with the filename , size and a new column isflagged returned either True or False.
For example File 1 has size : 2000 bytes
File 2 has size: 3000 bytes
40% of 2000 bytes = 800
2000 + 800 = 2800 so essentially File 2 is more than 40% bigger so it will be flagged as true
Scenario 2 :
This will carry out this comparison with the current date json file with t
he previous day json file. If it can't find the previous days json file it will go back by one day till it finds the next file. For example :
'2018-11-28' compare with '2018-11-27'
'2018-11-27' compare with '2018-11-25' - Since '2018-11-26' is not available it will move on to the next previous day
