How do I create a database and table with a user and password in Excel via ODBC?

0

I am writing a generic database engine and need to support Excel via ODBC. I need to test the user and password configuration used by our server for Excel.

However I am not sure whether this exists as a concept in Excel. Password protecting the sheet via the menu has no effect as the ODBC commands simply access and update it without hindrance.

Create table does not seem to provide the required functionality, Alter table is not supported.

Am I missing something or is this just not possible?
