Hibernate ManyToMany fails populate join table
I have two tables: Task and User. I use ManyToMany relationship. I thought when save Task object with list users my join table (task_user) will be populate. I was wrong. When I save task object it save in task table and nothing else. I think reason is my wrong approach to save object. I can fetch Task with users but i can't save it correctly. I search somethings about it but with no effect.
Task entity:
@ManyToMany(mappedBy="tasks")
private List<User> users = new ArrayList<>();
User entity:
@ManyToMany
@JoinTable(name="user_task",
joinColumns = {@JoinColumn(name="id_user")},
inverseJoinColumns = { @JoinColumn(name="id_task") })
private List<Task> tasks = new ArrayList<>();
Dao:
@Override
public void saveNewTask(Task newTask) {
getCurrentSession().save(newTask);
}
My object task:
newTask object: desc desc desc other field: 0
List with user inside: [User [id=1, name=Dawid Pawka, login=dpawka, password=dpawka], User [id=2, name=Adam Mickiewicz, login=amickiewicz, password=amickiewicz]]
Hibernate: insert into task (date, description, hour, time, title) values (?, ?, ?, ?, ?)
my db model
spring hibernate
