Bluedroid APIs in C and data transfer between devices

0

I am working on SNAPDRAGON board 800 with Android JB 4.3 .I am trying to implement bluedroid socket interface for transferring data upon bluetooth.
The socket interface has only listen and connect Apis. These are found under libhardware/..../bt_sock.h. The channel type I used is RFCOMM (1).`

bt_status_t (*listen)(btsock_type_t type, const char* service_name, const uint8_t* service_uuid, int channel, int* sock_fd, int flags);

bt_status_t (*connect)(const bt_bdaddr_t *bd_addr, btsock_type_t type, const uint8_t* uuid, int channel, int* sock_fd, int flags);

`
I cannot understand how to get the channel number and what is meant by service name here in listen ? How to make my board connect to a Laptop having bluez and use as client-server? I found some links but all have used Java apis which is not useful for me.

I was able to discover and pair the laptop and other android devices with my board using my app by implementing bt_interface_t apis.
