Lagunas Vístula e da Curlândia, no mar Báltico


Laguna ou Áreas Lagunares é um termo que em geomorfologia refere-se a uma depressão formada por água salobra ou salgada, localizada na borda litorânea, comunicando-se com o mar através de canal, constituindo assim, uma espécie de «semilago».[1] Em geral, as lagunas se formam em estuários oceânicos de rios que, pela interação com a mecânica do vento e das ondas, geram barras de sedimentos que evoluem para esporões arenosos cada vez maiores, isolando da violência do mar as águas salobras muito mais tranquilas.[1]


Em alguns lugares, como no Brasil, esse sistema pode evoluir a ponto de, com um acúmulo cada vez mais volumoso de sedimentos, gerar — pelo estrangulamento das passagens — sistemas de lagoas conectadas somente pelo lençol freático.[2]

1 In the sklearn.model_selection.cross_val_predict page it is stated: Generate cross-validated estimates for each input data point. It is not appropriate to pass these predictions into an evaluation metric. Can someone explain what does it mean?
